Job Description
The Senior Associate – Learning & Optimization drives the organization’s learning agenda by designing and coordinating rapid tests, analyzing results, and helping teams integrate evidence into decision-making. The role strengthens how Shamiri improves interventions, delivery systems, and tools through structured experimentation and continuous learning.

The Senior Associate – Learning & Optimization provides the analytic and coordination leadership needed for continuous improvement across programs, clinical care, technology, and operations.
Roles and responsibilities
Learning Agenda & Experiment Design
Support development of the organization’s annual learning agenda.
Translate learning questions into testable hypotheses and practical experiment designs.
Design small-scale tests, A/B experiments, workflow pilots, and fidelity improvement trials.
Collaborate with service delivery, tech, clinic, and product teams to refine testing priorities.
Experiment Implementation & Coordination
Lead coordination of pilots and experiments across hubs, clinics, and digital tools.
Create clear SOPs, test protocols, and data collection plans.
Train field teams, supervisors, or clinicians on implementation procedures.
Monitor fidelity to testing protocols and adjust as needed.
Data Analysis & Insight Generation
Clean, analyze, and synthesize data from experiments and learning cycles.
Prepare clear summaries, dashboards, and learning briefs for internal teams.
Translate findings into practical recommendations.
Identify patterns or signals that warrant additional testing or refinement.
Learning Cycles & Cross-Team Integration
Facilitate learning cycles with Delivery, Tech, Product, and Research teams.
Present insights in accessible formats for decision-making.
Ensure teams understand testing results and adapt workflows accordingly.
Document learnings for institutional knowledge.
Measurement Improvements
Identify gaps in measurement systems and propose improvements.
Support refinement of fidelity tools, outcome assessments, and operational metrics.
Collaborate with the Data & Measurement Pod where needed.
Project Management
Manage timelines, workplans, and coordination for multiple concurrent experiments.
Track progress and ensure timely delivery of learning outputs.
Maintain documentation, protocols, and version control.

Experience designing and coordinating research or evaluation activities
Ability to translate data into clear action-oriented insights

Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in statistics, psychology, behavioral science, public health, education, economics, or related fields
3–5+ years of experience in applied research, evaluation, or program learning roles
Experience coordinating pilots or tests in real-world settings
Familiarity with data analysis tools (Excel, R, Stata, or similar)
Experience working in youth development, mental health, or education is an advantage
